Schrader Cellars
Great things can begin in very interesting ways. In the summer of 1988, Fred Schrader was invited by his good friend Brian Cole of Christie’s to come and attend the Napa Valley Wine Auction charity event. Who would have guessed that a four-day visit to the Napa Valley would have kick started a two-decade long love affair with winemaking.
In 1992, Fred entered the wine business when he co-founded the now legendary Colgin-Schrader Cellars. Following this success, Fred founded his namesake Schrader Cellars in 1998 where, for the past decade, he has focused his attention raising the bar for Cabernet Sauvignon.
Today, with Fred and Carol Schrader at the helm, Schrader Cellars is dedicated to bringing together the finest vineyard and winemaking resources available to produce full-throttle iconic wines of magnificent character and structure. “We are proud to present a portfolio of classic wines that represent some of Napa Valley’s most prestigious and historic single vineyard estates including the legendary Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville,” says Fred. “We are equally as excited about our pioneering efforts in with Pinot Noir from California’s spectacular Sonoma Coast and Cabernet from the red-hot Red Hill Lake County appellations.”
Schrader Cellars produces a portfolio of single vineyard estate Cabernet Sauvignons, Pinot Noirs, and Old Vine Zinfandels under the Schrader, Aston Estate, Double Diamond and Vieux-Os labels.
